· Elenchos-> Became Scientific Method: Process of breaking a problem into separate questions, and each one brings you closer to the answer.
· Elenchos was used to discover a person’s true beliefs, among other things.
· Challenged conventions.
· Emphasized a more simplistic life.
Criticism
· People did not believe he was a philosopher, instead, they saw him as a man trying to over throw the Athenian government.
· Sentenced to death because of this believed heresy.
Socratic Problem:
There is no evidence that Socrates wrote any texts to support his philosophies or any autobiographical documents, his existence is only found in four primary sources: Xenophon, Plato, Aristotle, Aristophanes, and their information could imply a level of creativity or imagination.
